9/28/2026 2:46:00 PM

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 Playing four matches within a 36-hour period is never easy. However, the Triton College volleyball continued to show their growth by coming out the Lincoln Land Community College Tournament with a 2-2 record Sept. 25 and 26 in Springfield.

The Trojans (10-7) opened the tournament against the hosts of Lincoln Land and fell in three sets, 20-25, 11-25, 16-25. Triton then won their next two matches defeating Ellsworth Community College (IA), 25-23, 25-18, 14-25, 25-23 and St. Louis Community College (MO), 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14. The Trojans dropped their final match in straight sets to Lewis & Clark Community College, 15-26, 19-25, 11-25.

"We learned much about our identity playing in this tournament," said Triton assistant coach Norman Kwong. "We stayed competitive for most of the tournament and ultimately ran out of gas in our last match vs. Lewis & Clark."

Against Ellsworth, Triton had 15 aces, with only seven service errors, along with 79 digs to propel the Trojans in a four-set victory.

In the win over St. Louis, the Trojans were able to establish their setter and middle connection as the Triton front line hit for .250 in the match, while the team finished with a solid passing rating of 2.77.

Key contributors for the Trojans over the weekend included:

Trinity Delboccio - 18 kills, with 11 errors, seven blocks.
Ulyana Sydorchuk - 41 kills, with 18 errors, 12 digs.
Ana Gonzalez - 23 kills, with seven errors, 33 digs.
