Fleetwood and Jarrett earn All-Region 4 baseball honors

The Triton College baseball team had two players selected as All-Region 4 in Division I by the coaches following the conclusion of the season the first part of May.

Freshman Eric Fleetwood had a tremendous season at the plate for the Trojans to be voted All-Region as a designated hitter. The Cincinnati native was one of the best hitters in the nation, finishing with a .486 average which was best in the Region 4 and second among NJCAA Division I teams. Fleetwood was second in the region in both on-base (.592) and slugging percentage (.873). His nine home runs were ninth in the region and his team-leading 55 runs batted in was 14th in the Region 4.

Also honored was freshman Mason Jarrett (Munster, IN) who was among the group of three outfielders named All-Region 4. In 44 games played, Jarrett hit for a .370 average with five home runs and 42 runs batted in, which was third on the team. He also led Trojans in stolen based with 18 steals in 20 attempts.

Triton finished the season with a mark of 20-25-1.
