Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball Cruises Past Joliet

The North Central Community College Conference (N4C) has shown little resistance through three games against the Triton College men's basketball team. The Trojans average margin of victory was 55 points entering their Jan. 15 N4C contest against Joliet Junior College at the Collins Center. Head Coach Steve Christiansen gave the bench plenty of time on the floor as Triton did not have a starter crack 30 minutes. Despite the margin not being as lopsided as previous games, the outcome was the same, another Trojan win. Triton led practically the entire game in hammering the Wolves 108-75.

The Trojans had four players in double-figures led by Austin Richie who scored 28 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the field. Trey Boston added 19 points on seven-of-10 shooting. Sophomore center Jalen Shaw recorded 17 points and 11 rebounds. Carlos Curtis nearly had a triple-double, finishing with 15 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.

Triton once again had excellent ball movement with 33 assists on 45 made baskets. For the game, the Trojans shot 58 percent (45-77) from the field, including a solid (14-33) from three-point land.
