Mitch Fluker

Mitch Fluker enters his third season as part of the Triton College women’s basketball coaching staff. Fluker has worked with Head Coach Drew Winston since 2015, first at St. Joseph High School in Westchester as assistant girls’ basketball coach.
 
When St. Joseph closed its doors in 2020, Fluker joined Winston when he took over at Chicago Hope Academy. In 2021, Hope fell one game short of making it to the “State Final Four,” falling to the eventual IHSA runner-up.
 
Fluker attended Rosary College, now Dominican University in River Forest along with Judson College, now Judson University in Elgin. He also served our nation as soldier in the United States Army. While in the military, Fluker played overseas in Korea, Guam and Japan on various travel teams.
 
In addition to his high school coaching experience, Fluker coached for nearly 18 years for various park district programs which to him coaching at Walther Lutheran Grade School from 2007-15. His teams were undefeated in conference play from 2010-15.  
 
Fluker, a native of the west side of Chicago has had the game of the basketball play a major role in his life and will use his life experiences to help mold and develop the players he coaches.
