Desiree Irizarry enters her second season as assistant softball coach where her hands-on approach and advanced knowledge of the game will play key roles in the growth of our student-athlete. Irizarry, a Chicago native started her athletic journey at the age of 3. After successful seasons in her time at Guerin Prep, she moved on to play at Lake Land Community College where she signed as a two-sport athlete (Softball & Basketball). Following her graduation from Ashford University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, Irizarry went on to play two years of professional basketball in Puerto Rico. She is still pursuing playing professional softball in Puerto Rico.
