Symonds-Puckett Field

The Triton baseball field was built in 1976 and renamed Symonds-Puckett Field in 1989 in honor of former head coach Bob Symonds and Triton star and Major League Baseball Hall of Famer, the late Kirby Puckett.

Prior to renovations, Symonds-Puckett Field was recognized as one of the finest baseball facilities in the Chicago area. Now with the ballpark rebuilt for the start of the 2016 season, Symonds-Puckett Field once again offers its fans all the ambience of a professional stadium. The improvements include: changing the playing surface from natural grass to a full-synthetic turf surface, lights, press box with WiFi, netting behind the perimeter of home plate, brand new concourse, high tech sound system and expanded baseline and grandstand seating.

The ballpark measures 330 feet down the left field line, 335 feet down the right field line, 365 feet to dead center, 365 feet to the power alley in left field and 375 feet to the power alley in right field.

Symonds-Puckett Field is located next to the Robert M. Collins Center on the east end of campus.
