Sarah Guevarra joins the Triton Track and Field staff after a three-year head coach position at Roosevelt University. During her time at Roosevelt, Guevarra was able to grow the team from eight students to a successful team of nearly 40 student- athletes. Under Guevarra’s direction, she was able to lead a student-athlete to the National Championship nearly every semester she was there. Because of her experience at the high school and college level, she has learned how to coach any event that track and field offers.
 
Guevarra earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago, where she was able to maintain her college athletic credentials, specializing in the 400m, 4x400 and 800m. During her studies, Guevarra learned to focus on a more wholistic approach to coaching. Because of this, she tries to help students on and off the track and much as possible. Coach Guevarra looks forward to coming back to her hometown and helping those who grew up like she did.
