Zac Boster enters his second season on the Triton men's basketball staff. Boster has 12 years of overall coaching experience having coached five seasons of high school basketball at the varsity level as an assistant, one year at the Division I JUCO level at New Mexico Junior College as an assistant and as a private player development coach and consultant to players of all ages ranging from youth to the professional level. He is passionate about impacting players' lives on and off the court in a positive way.
While at NMJC, Boster was primarily responsible for on court development of the 2018-2019 team that had seven players go on to play at the Division I level and two at the Division II level. Boster has worked with the past eleven Northwest Herald Players of the Year, three of the previous MSL Players of the Year, and multiple All Area/All State selections at the high school level.
Over the past five collegiate seasons where a post season tournament was played, a player that has spent time in the gym with Boster has played in either a Division I,II, or III NCAA or Division I NAIA Final Four including the past four Division I Final Four’s. Boster works extensively on court and off court with professionals such as Max Strus (Miami Heat), Max Christie (Los Angeles Lakers) Shaq Harrison (2021-2022 G League Defensive Player of the Year), Keifer Sykes (Detroit Pistons), DJ Steward (Sacramento Kings), Justin Smith (G League), Matt Mooney (German BBL), Cameron Krutwig (Phillipines PBA), Tai Odiase (Italian top league), Ben Moore (Israel top league), and many more.
