Tyler Jones enters his 3rd year at Triton College as men’s assistant coach. Jones has a rich history in both professional and collegiate basketball having served as head coach and GM for the Connecticut Pride of the Continental Basketball Association. With the Pride Jones amassed over 100 wins, including a CBA championship and Coach of the Year honors in 1999.
 
Jones has coached several former NBA players including current University of Connecticut’s head men’s basketball coach Kevin Ollie, current Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach Rick Brunson and current Oklahoma City assistant coach Adrian Griffin.
 
Jones then served as an assistant coach at DePaul University under current head coach Dave Leitao. Jones was a part of a Blue Demon staff that won 58 games in 3 seasons, including 3 consecutive post season tournament bids from 2002-05.
 
Jones was hired as the head men’s coach at Concordia University-Chicago in 2008. Jones’ seven-year tenure at CUC ranks 2nd all-time and includes a Concordia Invitational Tournament championship in 2011 and a Northern Athletics Conference championship in 2012.
 
Jones duties at Triton include practice planning, player evaluations, recruiting and consultant to head Coach Steve Christiansen.
 
Jones has two children, Tyler Jr. (25) and Hayden (11) and resides in Bridgeport.
