    Assistant Men's Basketball Coach
Rob Holloway returns to Triton College to join head coach Brian Burns' staff for the 2024-25 season. Holloway played for the Trojans under the late Curt Connor during the 2001-02 season and has established a strong coaching resume since his playing days.

Last season Holloway served as an assistant coach at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.

Prior to Incarnate Word Holloway was at Valparaiso University, where he worked for five years as an assistant coach under Matt Lottich. He was primarily responsible for leading Valpo’s recruiting efforts, while also assisting with scouting and game preparation.

During the 2021-22 season, Holloway was on staff as Valpo players hauled in seven Missouri Valley Conference postseason honors won by five different players.

The 2020-2021 season, Holloway’s third with the program, saw Valpo earn a first-round bye in the MVC Tournament for the first time since joining the prestigious league.
After helping guide Valpo to 15 victories in his first season on staff, Holloway was part of the 2019-20 team that finished with the program’s highest conference win total, highest overall win total and highest finish in the league standings since joining the prestigious Missouri Valley Conference.

Most recently prior to his arrival at Valpo, Holloway spent two seasons (2016-18) on the coaching staff at Eastern Illinois University. While at EIU, he was instrumental in bringing in highly-rated recruits to campus as well, as Mack Smith was an Indiana All-Star and Cam Burrell was a First Team All-State selection in Illinois.

Previously, Holloway spent three years (2012-15) as the head coach at Kennedy-King College in Chicago. During his tenure, the program posted 48 wins and boasted six All-Region performers, including 2015 NJCAA All-Region 4 selection Dewan White. White also earned the NJCAA Superior Academic Achievement Award in 2015 after recording a GPA between 3.8 and 3.99. Holloway was previously an assistant coach on staff at Kennedy-King College before ascending to the head coaching position, helping the program to a pair of NJCAA Region 4 runner-up finishes in 2009 and 2012.

Holloway is a 2005 graduate of Eastern Illinois University and worked in private business for several years before embarking on a career as a basketball coach.
