Rick Carter brings more than 15 years of experience in Division 1 to Triton College, with notable stints at Michigan State, Fairfield, Western Michigan, Missouri, Xavier, and DePaul. During the 2021-2022 season, he contributed to the success of the Yorkville Christian High School team, leading them to victory in the 1A state championship in Illinois. Over the past five years, Rick has been actively involved in the AAU scene, making significant contributions to programs such as Fundamental U and, most recently, the esteemed Mac Irvin program.

In addition to his coaching roles, Rick has dedicated time to player development, training notable talents like Jaden Schutt (Duke), Connor Kochera (Davidson), Ethan Roberts (Drake), Chris Riddle (DePaul), Blake Peters (Princeton), and many others.

The past three summers Rick has coached the Xavier alumni team Zip em up in The Basketball Tournament. A summer tournament where the winner gets 1 million dollars.
