Edmond Pryor

Edmond Pryor enter his second season on staff with the men’s basketball program. Coach EP is a well-known figure in the landscape and community of Chicagoland basketball. A veteran basketball coach with over two decades of experience, Edmond Pryor joined the Triton College men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach during the 2020-21 season. Pryor has found success at the collegiate, high school, youth and AAU levels while also helping several players advance to the professional ranks.
He was also an assistant at Malcolm X College when the Hawks were crowned Region IV Division I champions in 2012-13.
 
Pryor got his collegiate start at Malcolm X, a member of the City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), in 2012 and spent five seasons there as an assistant before being named head coach at CCC’s Wilbur Wright College in 2017-18.  In his first campaign, Pryor’s Rams finished 16-14, which was the program’s best showing since going 22-11 in 2006-07.  Wright also owned a 4-1 record against CCC opponents that season.
 
Before making the move to the college level, Pryor spent four seasons at Providence-St. Mel School, where he was the middle school’s head coach as well as an assistant with the high school's varsity team from 2008-12.
 
Pryor experienced success coaching AAU teams as he captured the 17-U national championship with Full Package in his first season with the team in 2014.  After concluding his stint with Full Package in 2015, Pryor transitioned to his current position with All In Athletics’ 17-U team in 2016.
 
Pryor has also been instrumental in helping to develop several professional players through his coaching, mentoring and training efforts.  Among those who have benefited from Pryor’s tutelage are Alfonzo McKinnie, Milton Doyle, Keifer Sykes and Tevin King.

A graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Pryor earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.  He then received a master’s degree in information technology with a concentration in internet security from American InterContinental University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Athletic Administration at Northcentral University (Ariz.).
