Dylan Painter

Dylan Painter enters his second season at Triton as an assistant coach. Hailing from Norman, Oklahoma, he has established himself as a valuable asset in the world of college basketball. With a passion for the game that extends far beyond his own playing career, Painter has a proven track record of success.

His journey in the world of basketball began at Mid America Christian University, where he was an instrumental part of the team that secured a national NAIA title in 2016, showcasing his talent and commitment to the sport.

After concluding his playing career, Painter transitioned to coaching, first as a graduate assistant at Northwestern Oklahoma State from 2016 to 2017. It was during this time that he began honing his coaching skills and knowledge of the game.

In the subsequent years, Painter’s coaching career took him to various colleges across the United States. He spent two years at Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colorado, from 2017 to 2019, where he continued to make a positive impact on the basketball program.

Following this, he joined Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 2019, further contributing to his coaching experience.

Painter's journey led him to Glendale College in Los Angeles, California, where he coached from 2021 to 2023. His time at Glendale College allowed him to refine his coaching abilities and mentor young talents on their basketball journeys.

His commitment to education is equally impressive. Painter holds a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Mid America Christian University and a Master's degree in sports administration and higher education from Northwestern Oklahoma State. Additionally, he is set to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Oregon State in June 2023.

Coach Painter's passion for the game, along with his educational background and extensive coaching experience, makes him an invaluable asset to the Triton College men’s basketball program. His dedication and commitment to the growth and development of his players continue to shine, making him a vital part of the Trojans coaching staff.
