From the opening tip, the Triton College men's basketball team dominated their Region 4 Division I Quarterfinal game against Harry S. Truman College March 4 at Jorndt Athletic Complex gymnasium. The Falcons were no match for the No. 7 nationally ranked Trojans and tournament top seed as Triton won going away 96-56.
The Trojans (26-4) advance to face No. 5 seeded Highland Community College Thursday (March 6) at 5 p.m. in River Grove in the first of two Region 4 semifinal games being played in River Grove. The Cougars won on the road, defeating Sauk Valley Community College 86-69.
Triton swept the regular season series with Highland (15-16), winning at home 90-60 on January 30 and in the rematch in Freeport 94-86 on February 8.
Vijay Wallace set the tone with a quick layup after the opening tip and moments later drained a three. 
Kaiden Space then followed with consecutive baskets and with the first two the Trojans lead 10-2 and were well on their way.
Triton shot 20-of 35 from the field (57 percent) in the first half en route to a comfortable 52-24 advantage at halftime. For the game the Trojans were 52 percent from the field including a blistering 21-44 from three-point range.
University Alabama-Birmingham commit 
Dayjaun Anderson paced the Trojans with 21 points on seven made threes. Wallace finished with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting. 
Matt Sullivan knocked down five from downtown to account for his 15 points.  Space added 12 points for Triton.
The Jorndt Athletic Complex gymnasium is the site for the remainder of the Region 4 Division I men's basketball tournament. No. 2 seeded Kankakee Community College will play No. 3 seed Malcolm X College in the second semifinal at 7 p.m. All the of the men's tournament games will stream live on the
