A nine-game stretch in 19 days for the Triton College women's basketball team began with a convincing 94-43 victory over the reserve squad of Elmhurst University Nov. 29 in River Grove.
The Trojans led the game from wire-to-wire and broke matters open with a huge second half, including outscoring the Bluejays 33-4 in the fourth quarter.
Sophomore guard
Monraia Wilson led the Triton offensive attack with 25 points. She also added seven rebounds, six assists and five steals.
Sophomore
Linarys Burnett-Romero had a season-high 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting from long range, including converting on a pair of four-point plays.
Trinity Barnes was in double-figures with 17 points and six rebounds.
The Trojans (5-2) are back in action Thursday night when they host Highland Community College in a rematch of the last two Region 4 Division I championships games. Game time at the Collins Center Gymnasium at the George T. Jorndt Athletic Complex is 6 p.m. The game will stream live on the
