The Triton College men's soccer season ended May 18 in a 7-1 loss at Prairie State College in the semi-final round of the NJCAA Region 4 Division II tournament.
The Trojans finish a challenging season that played for the most part with no subs with a 5-3-1 record.
Things got off to a great start for Triton as
Maciej Rzadkosz (Oak Lawn) scored five minutes into the contest off an assist from
Marcin Kieta (Lane Tech) to give the Trojans the lead.
Unfortunately, it was all Pioneers from that point. The top seed and No. 4 ranked team in the nation scored four goals in a ten minute span late in the first half to go up 4-1 at the intermission and never looked back.
Despite the loss, Triton was well represented on the all-region team led by Kieta was the leading vote getter to earn status as the top NJCAA All-American nominee for the region.
Kieta currently ranked first in the nation in assists with 10 helpers.
Rzadkosz and
Konrad Madej (Fenton) were also selected to the all-region team for the Trojans.
