It was a tale of two halves for the Triton College women's basketball team Nov. 17 at Sauk Valley Community College.
The Trojans got off to a slow start in the first half and trailed the Sky Hawks 40-31 at the intermission.
Then Triton showed their explosiveness with a 62-point second half, including a dominating 36-9 third quarter en route to a 93-67 win.
Six players were in double-figures for the Trojans (5-2) led by
Aaliyah Dixon (Larkin) and
Temya Russell (Marshall) with 13 points apiece. Dixon added eight rebounds and five blocks. While Russell had six rebounds and six assists.
Linarys Burnett-Romero (Milwaukee, WI) sparked the huge third by making all four of her three-pointers in the game to account for all 12 points scored.
Kendra Hatley (Proviso East) finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.
Maya White Eagle (Baraboo, WI) had 11 points and
Monraia Wilson (Hoffman Estates) chipped in 10 points along with eight rebounds.
