The Triton College women's soccer team did not have much on the line in their regular season finale Oct. 28 at College of DuPage. The Trojans locked up the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Region 4 Division II tournament after a 2-0 victory at Bryant and Stratton College the night before.
Despite the quick turnaround, Triton did enough to pick up a 4-2 win over the Chaparrals. The Trojans finish the regular season with a single-season school record of 11-2 and a nine-game winning streak.
Triton will open the Region 4 playoffs at home on Oct. 31 at Noon vs. the College of Lake County. The game will be the first home postseason contest in program history. The Trojans held off the No. 6 seeded Lancers by a 4-2 final in their lone regular season meeting Oct. 9 in River Grove.
Against DuPage,
Maura Wolf and
Evelyn Posada each had a goal and an assist.
America Calvario scored her team leading 18
th goal of the season.
Adrienne Carnejo added a goal for Triton.
Keiley Castellanos and
Joanna Bahena each registered assists.
In the win over Bryant and Stratton, Calvario and
Grace Larson scored the Trojans goals.
