The Triton College women's soccer team broke out the pink jersey's in honor of breast cancer awareness in their home match Oct. 9 against the College of Lake County.
The Trojans held-off a Lancer second half rally to pick up a 4-2 win to help their odds to host a playoff game in River Grove.
America Calvario continued her outstanding season by recording her team-leading sixth and seventh goals, adding to the program record of most individuals goals scored in a season.
Triton led 2-1 at halftime and increased the advantage to 3-1 when
Grace Larson assisted on Calvario's second goal with 25 minutes to play.
However, Lake County answered to pull within a goal before
Maura Wolf's goal with four minutes remaining finally put the Lancers away.
Keiley Castellanos scored the other goal for the Trojans. Larson finished with two assists. Wolf and
Karen Salgado each had an assist for Triton.
