38 Triton Student-Athletes Earn NJCAA All-Academic Honors
The 2019-20 academic year provided many unforeseen obstacles for Triton College student-athletes. From dealing with the transition to taking classes the final half of the spring semester online and the sudden cancelation of sports due to the global Coivd-19 pandemic. Despite these challenges, Trojan student-athletes persevered in one of the best seasons academically in recent years as 38 Triton student-athletes earned National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic honors.

Triton doubled its total number of NJCAA All-Academic athletes from the previous year as 19 Trojans made the list during the 2018-19 academic year. In addition, Triton in their final season as a member of the North Central Community College Conference (N4C) led all N4C schools with the most NJCAA All-Academic members. Nationwide 9,555 NJCAA student-athletes made the All-Academic list.

"I am very pleased to see our student-athletes succeed beyond their athletic pursuits," said Triton Athletic Director Harry McGinnis. "The 38 student athletes that qualified for the NJCAA honors is largely due to the efforts of our Athlete Academic Coordinator Emily-Jo Anderson and each of our head coaches for emphasizing the importance of academic excellence within our department."

Student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2019-20 academic year. The criteria for the three All-Academic teams are listed below:
