performance" in Triton's 82-44 win over College of
DuPage to open North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play Jan. 2 in Glen Ellyn.
After allowing the games first basket to COD, the Trojans (11-5, 1-0, N4C) scored the next 11 points and never looked back to build a 40-19 halftime lead.
Jaelah Crosby (Evansville, IN) paced the Triton offensive attack with 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field. Leyden graduate
Jasmine Igartua finished with 17 points and six rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting.
Davion Watt (Independence, Miss,) and
Zenobia Reeds (East St. Louis) each registered double-doubles. Watt had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Reeds 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Trojans controlled the glass, out-rebounding the Chaparrals (3-13, 0-1, N4C) 46-27 and had a decisive 48-20 advantage on points in the paint.
For the game, Triton shot over 50 percent from the field (34-66).
