Triton College men's head soccer coach
Piotr Sliwa was honored Sept. 18 during a pregame ceremony for becoming the winningest coach in program history. Triton's President Mary-Rita Moore along with Athletic Director
Harry McGinnis presented Sliwa with a plaque in recognition of the achievement.
The Trojans responded to the festivities with a six-goal outburst in the first half in a 7-0 win over Illinois Valley Community College at the East Campus Athletic Complex multi-purpose field.
"We are very proud of Piotr's accomplishments and the impact that he's had on our student-athletes," President Moore said. "Triton has had a rich soccer tradition since 1969, and he will always be a part of Trojans soccer and athletic history."
Â
"I am so proud of Piotr and our men's soccer programs for achieving their 90
th win under his leadership," McGinnis said. "There have been several great coaches over the years of our men's soccer program, but Piotr is the only one to reach this milestone. We are very fortunate to have Piotr directing our program and I look forward to more great things from him and our men's soccer program this year and for years to come."
