Lizvett Herrera out as well went into Saturday's contest at Malcolm X College without an average of 50 points of offense per game.
However after a slow start, Triton found the magic and held on in a frantic finish to pull off a remarkable 49-46 road win.
The Lady Trojans fell behind 10-0 the first four minutes of the game before getting things going with a 12-2 run to tie matters. Triton's defense was the story, holding the Lady Hawks to just 36 points after the opening surge.
Malcolm X was held to just six points in the third quarter points as the Lady Trojans finally grabbed the edge at 38-36 entering the fourth quarter.
Andrionna Harper, who led all scorers with 19 points hit a pair of clutch free throws with 17 seconds left to give Triton a 49-46 lead. The Lady Hawks had one final chance to tie, but Malcolm X could not get a shot off from three and was forced to take a drive for two points instead that rimmed off the back iron which Harper rebounded to secure the win.
Jasmine Nelson had a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Diamond Johnson finished with seven points.
Ginani Badillo added six points and eight boards in the winning effort for the Lady Trojans.
