There was some concern that Triton's long home winning streak would be challenged by Schoolcraft College from Livonia, MI Nov. 3 at the Collins Center. The Ocelots came into the season opener ranked No. 5 in the NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll. The Trojans were ranked just behind Schoolcraft at No.6. However, Triton jumped out the gate fast and led by as much as 43 points in the second half in an impressive 100-79 win to open the Tip-Off Classic.
The Trojans (1-0) have now won 54 straight home contests. Triton's new crop of talent shined as five Trojans were in double-figures. The Trojans balance has been a staple to over a decade of success and this years squad looks no different.
Najee Brown-Henderson lead the way with 18 points.
