Araic Anderson

Araic Anderson is a dynamic coach, mentor, and multi-sport athlete with over 12 years of coaching experience across basketball, volleyball and flag football. Known for her passion for player development and leadership, she has dedicated her career to shaping well-rounded athletes both on and off the field.

A former NCAA assistant basketball coach, Anderson brings a high-level understanding of the game, discipline and team culture to every program she leads. She currently represents her city of Chicago as a professional tackle football player for the Chicago Winds under the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC), while also serving as the Head Flag Football Coach at Proviso East High School.

Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Anderson is a proud product of King High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina, where she excelled as a three-sport collegiate athlete in basketball, track and lacrosse.

After graduating in 2014, Anderson returned to Chicago in 2018 and began training athletes across the city, building a reputation for her commitment to youth development and community impact. In addition to coaching, she is also a Chicago-based artist, expressing her creativity through murals, canvas work, fashion and digital art.

Grounded in purpose and driven by passion, Coach Anderson continues to inspire the next generation through sport, creativity, and leadership. She is newly married to her wife, Elana Baker, and remains deeply rooted in her mission to uplift her community.
