Ken Jurasz

Ken Jurasz begins his second season at the helm of the Triton College softball program. 

Jurasz has nearly 30 years of fastpitch coaching experience. He began coaching at the park league level and continued on to Guerin College Prep where he was part of their 2008 and 2009 regional championship teams as an Assistant Varsity Coach. Jurasz then moved into the travel softball ranks where he coached the Elmwood Park Lady Tigers to several championships coaching from the 12 and under all the way to 18 and under levels. Jurasz then returned to Guerin where he was made the Associate Head Coach from 2014-2018 bringing them another regional championship in 2018.

Jurasz served double-duty in 2017-18 where he coached at both Guerin and Triton with former head coach Christina Christopher. The Trojans that season finished the season 35-22 and made an appearance in the Region 4 Final Four.

From 2019-2022, Jurasz had an historic run as girls softball coach at Ridgewood High School in Norridge. In 2021, under Jurasz' direction, the Rebels had their best season in school history, winning their first ever IHSA Sectional and Supersectional Championships. The season for Ridgewood would culminate with a fourth place at the IHSA Class 3A Tournament.

He is also a hitting and catching instructor for many of the areas top softball athletes.

Jurasz is the father of three daughters, whom all played fastpitch softball, including two at the collegiate level. His son is a junior at St. Patrick High School participating in football and track. Jurasz is married to his wife Janice of 32 years and she loves being a big part of this coaching dream.
