Join us for the Triton College Alumni Association's "Reunion at the Ballpark" on Friday. March 27 at Symonds-Puckett Baseball Field when the Trojans face Kennedy-King College.
Lance Johnson had a 14-year career, including with the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs, after he played in the outfield as a Trojan, leading the team to consecutive NJCAA World Series appearances. His achievements at Triton led him to be inducted into its Athletic Hall of Fame, Alumni Wall of Fame and the NJCAA Region IV Hall of Fame. In 1992, Johnson received an honorary degree from the community college.
Johnson will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Reunion event, part of the alumni association's program Reconnect – Your Story Continues, which honors the college's first graduating class in 1967 and invites alums to celebrate accomplishments, share life updates and stay engaged with the campus community.
While supplies last, guests will receive giveaways. Admission is $5 at the door.
