The Triton College women's soccer team has been in their share of games this season. Unfortunately, the Trojans had nothing in the win column to show for their improved play after five games. But the squad's hard work finally paid off as Triton picked up their first victory of the season in a 3-2 triumph over Harper College Sept. 25 at the Multi-Purpose Field.
Natalie Ovalle (Leyden),
Desiree Jimenez (Pritzker College Prep) and
Rafaela Ramiro (Leyden) all found the back of the net for Triton (1-5). Ovalle added an assist along with
Ashley Morales-Sanchez (Morton).
"We scored three goals after only scoring two in our first five games," said head coach
Piotr Sliwa. We've been getting better and it was great to have everything come together to get our first ever win over Harper. Hopefully we can carry over the momentum of this win into our next few games."
