The Triton College women's soccer team continued to show improvement but could not muster any offense in a 2-0 home loss Sept. 11 vs. Rock Valley College.
The Golden Eagles scored in the 38
th and 46
th minutes as both teams played well despite the unseasonably warm conditions. Unfortunately for the Trojans, they could not find the back of the net as Triton missed on a couple of solid scoring chances including having one shot hit the crossbar.
"We keep playing better and better each game," said Trojans head coach
Piotr Sliwa. "But it's the little mistakes that cost us goals. On the first goal, we made a pass back towards the goalie and had some miscommunication. Then the second goal right after halftime we had the same thing as two of our defenders miscommunicated. Those two lapses were the difference. However we played well, possessed the ball better. We just need to get over the hump."
